It's helpful to know how to manage reeds as well. Students should soak reeds in water for at least 2 minutes prior to playing, and the water should not go above the thread, it should only be the wood portion in water.

Founder Hugo Fox played bassoon for the Chicago Symphony for almost 30 years. While in the symphony, he wanted to improve the instrument that he loved and envisioned a high-quality bassoon made entirely in the United States.
