We wish to create a unique and quality shopping option for double reed players.

We wish to be a solution for double reed players in the Omaha, Nebraska area as well as throughout the Midwest and the rest of the country. We feel that this community is under-served locally even though it is chock full of great players and teachers. We carry standard reed products from the US as well as Europe and offer other unique options for a one-stop shopping experience.
our story
Andrea has long dreamed of opening a double reed specialty shop that combines her love of business with her love of all things oboe. Nebraska Music Company is the realization of that dream. While Andrea is the primary buyer and visionary of the business, her husband Tim oversees many of its logistical aspects.
We are both originally from Minnesota but can’t imagine calling anywhere but Omaha home. We both received bachelor’s degrees in music from North Dakota State University and Andrea earned her master’s in oboe performance from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Andrea currently works as a music educator and performer and Tim is a butcher. In our spare time, we like to cook, read, play board games and hang out with our five cats.
