NMC Handmade Professional Bass Oboe Reed

Newly available is our bass oboe reed option! I recently had the pleasure of really getting to know the bass and how the reed making functions for it. It was both stressful and super fun, and I came away from it knowing I wanted to provide excellent bass reeds as a result. 

These will all most likely need a few scrape adjustments, but that's honestly a good thing - better to have too much cane than not enough, especially on an instrument that most of us don't get to play often. 

The cane used on these is excellent quality Glotin 14mm cane that was processed professionally by someone who specializes in this. The shape is medium/wide and the staples are Chiaurigi L. I was able to get the most smooth and buttery tone on these!

Available finishes:

MH - possibility of some minor adjustments 

H - expect to personalize your reed a bit more than the MH option

Test - My first batch, while lovely, is a little more narrow shaped than my preference. I also experimented with wire placement. These are also great on bass, but are discounted due to them being different than what I ended up settling on for measurements and wire.
