Social Media

Hey all! Thanks for checking back! We’re trying just starting to get our feet wet on social media and wanted to let any readers know. Check us out on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. We’re both pretty familiar with Facebook but the other three will be a work in progress. Honestly, I thought it was odd that Ke$ha was making such a big comeback when I started hearing about TikTok. (I know it’s impressive to make these kinds of jokes without having any kids.) By the way, if you love these aluminum reed cases, they’re made by Rigotti and hold five oboe reeds each. Check them out here.

Welcome!

We’re so glad you decided to join us here! Obviously blogging is not the main drive of this site, but we thought it would be nice to occasionally share our thoughts on what’s going on with the store and give updates on any events we’ve attended or have upcoming. The news of the world right now is that we’ve decided to delve into carrying saxophones. We’ve been incredibly happy with the quality, craftsmanship, and customer service of Howarth of London with regards to their oboes and English horns and figured their saxes wouldn’t be any different. We were not disappointed. They play like a dream! Currently we only have demo models in stock, but if you are interested in trying a very reasonably priced soprano, alto, or tenor that will hold its own with professional level horns, reach out to us here or through the about us page.

In other news, we had an awesome opportunity to sell some of our music crafts at the Lewis Central High School fundraiser for their band programs. The event was incredibly well run and couldn’t have been easier for us to navigate. It was a real treat seeing band students walk up to our booth to check out a trombone bell lamp or guitar shell shelf and then realize that everything on display was made out of old instruments or sheet music. We’re already excited to go back next year and will hopefully make this a regular part of our November.
