Having played on these reeds myself more than 10 years ago, I can attest to the quality that has been maintained and exceeded over time. While still living in North Dakota as a new oboist, I purchased oboe reeds from Darci Gamerl and loved them. I also had an oboe classmate that thrived on them. I like to joke that the reeds were so good, I just had to move to Nebraska to study with the amazing reed maker who made them! Many successful oboe careers have started with this key ingredient of a quality reed that sounds absolutely beautiful on any oboe. These reeds are versatile with a complex tone quality and just the right amount of resistance. Made only from the best supplies, these reeds are perfect for an advancing oboist or a professional.
